Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a minimally invasive procedure that is used to assess digestive diseases.

The doctor uses this procedure to examine the patient’s esophageal and stomach lining as well as the walls of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract.

A special endoscope uses high-frequency sound waves to produce detailed images of the lining and wall of the patient’s digestive tract and nearby organs such as pancreas and liver.
