Fissures
An anal fissure is a tearing in the lining of the lower rectum or the anal canal.
Typically, anal fissures heal with home treatment and resolve within a few days or weeks.
Symptoms include sharp or burning pain during bowel movements, itching and bleeding.
Treatment includes preventing constipation by increasing your fiber intake, drinking fluids, and stool softeners.
